Boston - Third Stage (1986)

The third album from this band from USA.

The band was a duo at this album with a lineup of percussion, bass, guitars, grand piano, organ, electric piano and vocals.

Three guests added drums and guitars.

The band returned again with this thirty-six minutes long album after an eight years long album break.

Boston was by now reduced to the two main men in the band, Tom Scholz and Brad Delp. These two were the main composers on the first two albums and the brains behind this band from the very beginning.

The music here is a blend of pomp rock and AOR.

There is also some notable heavy metal influences in their music and the band is clearly trying to tag themselves to the heavy metal scene on this album.

The songs are well developed.

The overall quality is decent enough. I am not particular impressed by this album.
