Sky - The Great Balloon Race (1985)

The sixth album from this band from Great Britain.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of percussion, bass, guitars and keyboards.

Some guests added guitars, synths, saxophones, flutes, pan pipes and vocals on some tracks.

I had no positive expectations for this forty minutes long album after I had to endure their last three albums.

The music here is neo-classical music with some sporadic hints of symphonic prog.

This ain't rock music, that is for sure.

The music is still lively and dynamic. Most of it is a blend of circus music and vaudeville theater music. There are also some more pastoral pieces here too.

There are even some good pieces of music here.... This to my considerable surprise.

This album is considerable better than their previous three albums and it is indeed a pretty good album. Maybe even their second best album. Wow !
