The second and final album from this band from The Netherlands.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, grand piano, organ, keyboards, synths and flute.
The band returned again the year after they released the decent enough self titled debut album. An album reviewed some days ago in this blog.
Scope II clocks in at three quarters of an hour.
The music here is fusion.
The music is dynamic and pretty fast. The music is still pretty melodic.
There is a lot of good solos here from the various instruments. The bass is rampant galloping away and is adding a lot of colours to the music.
The music is a bit run-off-the-mill fusion. Nevertheless, it is enjoyable and interesting for the fusion fans. That includes myself.
This is a pretty good album and one to check out if fusion is your thing. This album is also a pretty big improvement on their debut album. It is shame that this is their final album.
