The one and only album from this duo from USA.
The band was Jon Small on drums and Billy Joel on keyboards. Yes, that Billy Joel who later became a massive solo artist who sold zillions of albums and hit singles. This album was his debut album. Hence this review.
Attila clocks in at forty minutes.
The music here is hard rock.
There are a lot of psych rock influences here too.
To be clear.... The only reason why this album has got some attention is that this is Billy Joel's first album as a recording artist. He is doing all the keyboards here. There are no traces of Billy Joel, the piano man and the pop artist here. Not even a millisecond of what he later did can be found on this album.
The music is also pretty wild and hard throughout this album. There is a lot of Deep Purple influences here.
The quality is pretty poor throughout. This album is a borderline turkey. The keyboards and the drums are decent enough as this album is only being let down by some poor pieces of music. Hence...
