The band was a quartet with a line-up of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
This is the follow up album to the good 2020 debut album The Island. An album reviewed earlier this month.
Dreamstate is clocking in at three quarters of an hour.
The music here is a blend of neo-prog and art-rock.
The music is mid-tempo, elegant and melodic. The music is still pretty complex too. It is also at times both hard and muscular.
There is a lot of varied themes and melodies here. The guitars are really good throughout.
The vocals remind me a lot of Robert Wyatt. The vocals is also very good.
This band is a new star in the British prog rock scene and in particular in the neo-prog scene. This band deserves a lot more attention based on their two albums.
This is indeed a very good album and one to check out. It is also a candidate for the best 20 albums of the year.
