The fifth album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bells, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and trumpet.
The band's self-titled debut album was an unexpected million seller in Great Britain and worldwide. The album was also an antidote to the punk music which was all the rage in those years. This album was also a good album and I really like it... to my big surprise. One of my biggest surprises of the year, no less.
Their following albums were not that good. Neo-classical music bordering to elevator/shopping mall music and new age music.
I did not have any expecations to Cadmium, this one hour long album.
This one hour long album is gives us a blend of shopping mall/elevator pling plong music and neo-classical music.
It is really hard to find something nice to write about this album... Nevertheless, there are a couple of deent tracks here and the acoustic guitars are good. The result is a half-decent album which is best ignored. I cannot really say I am looking forward to reviewing their final two albums.....
