Invernalia - Invernalia (2015)

The debut album from this one-man-band from Argentina.

Aldo Pinelli did the percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals here.

He had help from a handful of guests who provided drums, violin, piano and flute.

Aldo Pinelli released some albums through Habitat, a good band from Argentina, before he went his own ways and released, so far, two albums under the Invernalia moniker. The second album, Tenebras, was released in 2021. I don't have this album at present. Maybe I will get it and review it next year or so.

Invernalia is clocking in at three quarters of an hour.

The music is a blend of art-rock and psych rock.

The music has this Latin-American symphonic prog soundscape too and is different from the normal Anglo-US prog soundscape.

The music is mid-tempo to slow. Some parts is pretty pastoral too.

Most of the music is performed by keyboards with some supporting guitars. The Spanish vocals are pretty good.

Most of the music is pretty anonymous and pedestrian. There is not much to like here. Nevertheless, this is a decent enough album.
