The second album from this band from Finland.
This is a one-man-band where Pekka Ranta did the bass, guitars, synths, effects and drum machine.
Three guests added drums, percussion, keyboards and synths.
This half an hour long album is his second album from 2025. His debut album Katoaminen was a good album and one I reviewed earlier this month.
The music on that album had some dynamic music with a blend of psych rock and cinematic rock. A good blend.
81 is a much more ambient music dominated half an hour. The music is pedestrian and not ambient at all. This album feels like a left-over pieces and outtakes album from the Katoaminen album sessions.
In short, this is just a half-decent album and a considerable disappointment.
