The second and final album from this band from Germany.
The band was a nine-piece big project with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, saw, violin, cello, piano, organ, keyboards, synths, flute and vocals.
This band was a side-project of the German band Poor Genetic Material who has so far released sixteen albums and are still active.
I was not particular impressed by their 2013 debut album Against The Fear Of Death. The main failure of that album was the lack of any good songs and a proper focus. It was still a decent enough album.
The band returned three years later with a more refined sound and style.
Folk rock with some symphonic prog and psych rock influences is what we get on this fifty minutes long album.
Pia Darmstaedter's (female) vocals is pretty dominant here and they are very good. Here flutes is also good and is adding a lot to this album.
The songs are good too. The sound is good too. The sound here is a major improvement from the less than satisfactory sound on the debut album. This album is a big improvement on their debut album and is indeed worth checking out.
