bySomethingELSE - Hope (2025)

The debut album from this band from Canada.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

This band has been around for decades and with some different band members. They returned again as a Marillion and Fish tribute band before they went into studio and recorded what they got of self penned material.

The music on this fifty minutes long digital album, released through Bandcamp, is well within the neo-prog genre.

The music is also very melodic too with a very good sound. The songs are on average six minutes long and very much very typical for this neo-prog genre.

The music is dynamic and mid-tempo with some short guitar solos.

There are some good guitars and keyboards here that deliver some good details. The vocals too is good.

The band has released a more than acceptable debut album which has a mix of decent and good songs. Neo-prog fans should check out this album.
