The second album from this band from Norway.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, electronics and vocals.
This is the follow up album to their great 1995 album Vergangenheit, one of the best extreme metal albums from the 1990s Norway.
Zukunft is clocking in at forty minutes. The album was recorded and mixed in 2001-02.
The music is very dark and industrial metal like. The genre is more industrial metal than alternative extreme metal. A blend of those two genres is the best description of the music here.
The vocals are very dark and harsh. The music is very fast too.
The music is both ugly and brutal. There is still some decent to good themes here. The music is leaning towards punk inspired black metal at the end.
The result is a decent enough album which is nowhere as good as the debut album. Both albums are now on Bandcamp. I think both albums deserve proper re-releases.
