Danefae - Trøst (2025)

The second album from this band from Denmark.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, piano and vocals.

A handful of guests added keyboards and vocals.

The band returned again after their 2022 debut album Tro.

Trøst is a three quarters of an hour long album. The music is again heavy with Porcupine Tree influences and some more diminishing Marillion influences. There are still some Kate Bush influences here in the female vocals.

The lyrics are in Danish. The vocals are pretty muscular and ditto for the music.

The music is a lot heavier this time around. There is even some djent here. There are also some more lyrical pieces here. Most of this album is heavy, though.

The overall quality is pretty good with the vocals adding those extra sparks to their music. This is therefore a good album and one to check out.
