The seventh album from this band from Germany.
Legacy Pilot is Frank Us on guitars and keyboards. A one-man-band.
He had help from a number of guests who added drums, bass, guitars and vocals.
I reviewed Camera Obscura Volume I last week and liked it a lot. I have also reviewed the first Legacy Pilots albums in this series of blogs and you will find them in # 1, # 2 and # 3.
Camera Obscura Volume I is clocking in at fifty minutes.
The music is again neo-prog.
The music on this album is very similar to the music on Camera Obscura Volume I, an album also released this year. I don't really understand why both albums were not released as a double album. Then again, I respect Frank Us and his decisions. A man far more clever/intelligent than I am.
The music is both melodic and fairly complex. The music is also pretty epic with some symphonic prog and heavy prog influences.
The vocals are all good.
The quality of the music is also good throughout. Both the Camera Obscura albums should be checked out by all neo-prog fans.
