The fifth album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a quintet with a line-up of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
The band returned with a new vocalist after a two years long break. Joe Lynn Turner got the vocalist job here and he is far more suited to Ritchie Blackmore's visions than the previous vocalist Graham Bonnet. No offence intended, Graham....
This album's cover-art is also one of the more iconic and memorable album covers from this era. I grew up back then and this album cover was everywhere. It is a great album cover too and one of the best ever album covers.
Difficult To Cure clocks in at three quarters of an hour.
The music here is hard rock.
There are also one song with pop/rock. The title track is their take on the main theme in Beethoven's ninth symphony. A symphony many other bands and artists has tried too. It is a pretty good take on this theme.
There are a couple of other good tracks here too. The rest of the album is pretty poor. This is still a pretty good album and one to check out as this is a semi-classic album and perhaps Rainbow's most known & iconic album.
