The second album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, guitars, synths and vocals.
This is the follow up album to the 2024 debut album Terrapath. That was a good album as I wrote in my review last week.
Flare is clocking in at close to fifty minutes.
The music is again a blend of psych rock and jazz. Add in some dream-pop too. There are also some King Crimson like eclectic prog here too. Art-rock is the most correct label for this band and this album.
The music is mid-tempo, a bit minimalistic and very quirky.
Chloe Coyne's vocals are superb, and her husband Tom Coyne's guitars also add a lot of texture and riffs to this album.
This band has been described as the future of progressive rock. I am not so sure about that. In any case, this is a very good album. An album I am sure will be included in my top ten list of the best albums of the year.
