The second album from this band from Brazil.
The band was a sextet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, synths and vocals.
The band returned six years after their debut album Out Of The Loop. I reviewed this album earlier this month and awarded it a good rating.
Their second album is an one and a half hour long album. It has five long pieces of music. One of them is clocking in at half an hour.
The music is a blend of psych rock, the Division Bell era Pink Floyd, and electronic rock in the vein of the Berlin school. Tangerine Dream springs too mind.
There is long pieces of drone like electronic music here. The psych rock pieces is melodic psych rock and melodic. The vocals is good and ditto for the guitars. A large parts of the guitars are half-acoustic.
Their listing as neo-prog in ProgArchives and other places gave me the expectations of.... yes, this being a neo-prog album. The surprise was therefore big during the first listening sessions.
That said... this is a good album in it's own right and one to check out if both Tangerine Dream and Pink Floyd is floating your boat.
