The fourth album from this band from Finland.
The band was a quartet with a line-up of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, oud, saz, synths, flute and vocals.
A handful of guests added backing vocals/choir.
I have reviewed their first three albums in # 2 and this edition of this blog and I have liked them. Good albums. I therefore jumped on the chance to review this album too.
Mountains are clocking in at forty minutes.
The music here is space rock.
There is a lot of Eastern Asia and Middle-East influences in their music. Music which is mostly instrumental with some vocals-free voices acting as instruments in addition to the other instruments.
Oud and saz are in the front of the mix and these exotic instruments are adding a lot of spice to the mid-tempo space rock. The same goes for the flute.
There is a lot to like on this album. A good album indeed. I really like this band.
