Velvet Underground. The - The Velvet Underground & Nico (1967)

The debut album from this band from USA.

The band was a quintet with a line-up of percussion, bass, guitars, electric viola, celeste, piano and vocals.

This legendary band released five albums before they gave up the ghost. Their setup on this album included Nicole, John Cale and Lou Reed. Andy Warhol, whose artwork can be found above, produced most of this album.

I am reviewing their five albums this fall/autumn.

This album clocks in at close to fifty minutes.

The music is psychedelia.

The music sounds unhinged, taken today's standards into account. There is a garage psych rock feel in their music.

The celeste is the real star here when it comes to instruments. The guitars are OK and the vocals is good.

The music is decent enough. This album has got the classic album because of the setup and not necessary because of the status. This is also to a large degree a genre-creating album.

Quality wise, it is a decent album.
