The debut album from this one-man band from Germany.
Michael Nermerich performed bass, guitars, keyboards, programming and vocals here.
A guest added female vocals on one track.
Icarus clocks in at sixty-two minutes.
The music here is a blend of heavy-prog and neo-prog.
The music is both melodic and pretty heavy. It is muscular throughout.
There are some pretty strong Porcupine Tree influences in the music here. That said, Michael has created his own little universe, soundscape.
The sound is good. The vocals are good.
This is mostly a good album. It is a barely a good album, but still a good album, well worth checking out.
