The fifth album from this band from Italy.
The band was a sextet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, piano, organ, keyboards, mellotron and vocals.
Roine Stolt added guitars on the opening track.
I have reviewed their first albums in both ProgArchives and in # 2 of this blog. Albums I rated very highly.
Although Submarine Silence was formed by and is run by some of the most prolific musicians in the new wave of RPI bands, Submarine Silence has never really been a RPI band.
The band has instead been looking to England and Sweden for inspirations. The likes of Genesis, Kaipa and The Flower Kings.
That goes for this three quarters of an hour long album. Classic symphonic prog, in other words.
The title track is a twenty-two minutes long suite and it is a very good piece of music.
The rest of the album is also very good and this band is one of the better new symphonic prog bands in today's scene. Check them out.
