The second album from this band from Norway.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, clarinet, saxophones, electronics and samples.
Last year, I put up my two Ultralyd albums for reviews sometime this winter. I had heard about the band but never listened to their albums. So it sounded like a good idea to review their two albums.
This forty minutes long album is their second of in total six albums. I will review their fifth album early next month.
The music is a blend of free-jazz and samples. The music is avant-garde and totally out there.
In the middle of this unrelenting avant-garde free jazz assault, there is a piece of Indian pop music. That is complete with the local language male vocals. It feels like this has been lifted from a Bollywood movie. Weird.
The overall quality is half-decent and this is not really an album I can recommend.
1.5 points
