Obskuria - Burning Sea Of Green (2011)

The second album from this band/project from Peru and Germany.

The band was a seven pieces big band with a line-up of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, sound effects and vocals.

This is the follow-up album to their decent enough 2007 debut album. This is also their final album as the band/project has split up.

The album clocks in at three quarters of an hour.

The music here is psych rock with some strong space and krautrock influences.

The band/project threw some curveballs on their debut album in the shape of a couple of Metallica and The Beatles cover versions. This time around, they have included a cover version of Slayer's classic Black Magic. A version complete with female vocals. A pretty decent cover version, but still nowhere near as good as Slayer's own version.

The rest of the music is decent enough with some male and female vocals.

I cannot really say this band/project has impressed me with their two albums. Their two albums are obscure and that for a good reason.
