The band was a duo with a line-up of drums, percussion, piano, keyboards, mellotron and vocals.
This is another band that has recently come to my attention. The band just released their second album. An album I will review later this week.
Hic Sunt Moundrages is clocking in at forty minutes.
The music is best described as heavy prog.
The music and the band are influenced by the likes of Atomic Rooster, ELP and Deep Purple.
There are no guitars and no bass here. Everything is based on the keyboards and the vocals. The keyboards has the organ sound from the 1970s. They also sound like Jon Lord's keyboards and organ in Deep Purple. The mellotrons here are also great.
The vocals are good too.
This is a very enticing album with a couple of flaws but with a lot of positives. This is indeed a good album and well worth checking out.
