The debut album from this band from Puerto Rico.
The band was a seven-piece big band with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, electric piano, organ, clavinet, moog, keyboards, woodwinds and vocals.
This band has released two albums. One in 1975 and the final album twenty-three years later in 1998. I am just going to review this album, their debut album.
Raices clocks in at three quarters of an hour.
The music here is jazz.
The music is also Latin-Jazz with lots of exotic rhythms with some jazz and fusion on the top of these Latin rhythms again.
Most of it is instrumental. There are some vocals too here.
The music is really groovy with some interesting saxophone and flute solos.
This is a decent album which should interest everyone into jazz and fusion.
