Circu5 - Circu5 (2017)

The debut album from this band from Great Britain.

The band was a one-man-band with Steve Tilling on drums, peercussion, bass, guitars, piano, calliope, synths and vocals.

A number of guests added drums, guitars, synths and backing vocals.

This is a new band in the UK scene and they have released two albums. I will review the second album sometime in the next couple of weeks.

This fifty minutes long album has a mix of neo-prog, heavy prog and modern mainstream rock.

The music is dynamic with some heavy pieces and some distorted vocals in addition to the pretty good normal vocals. There are some funky stuff here too. I think this is what they call modern prog.

The music is not too bad. Some of the stuff is pretty good. There is also some stuff here who falls flat on it's face. This is therefore a decent album but nothing more than that.
