The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, cello and vocals.
I have no idea who this band from Denver, Colorado is and what became of them after the release of this Bandcamp album. An album that has been hanging around in my collection for years.
The music on this forty minutes long album is a blend of indie rock and dream-pop.
The vocals are female vocals and they are on the top of the bass, cello and guitars. The vocals are also pretty dominant on this songs based album.
The album title very much describes the music and the mood here. The music is melancholic. It is also at times pretty beautiful. There are also some contrasts here with some infrequent screamo vocals and dissonant guitars.
Indie and dream-pop are not really my genres. I still find this album pretty good and enjoyable. This is not progressive rock. Still.....
