Demo Rumudo - Second Nature (2025)

The debut album from this band from Spain.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, flutes and saxophones.

This band is a new band to the scene. Spain has lately produced a lot of new bands. There must be something new in the water down there as the country is brimming with new, creative music.

This album clocks in at forty minutes and the music is fusion. In this case, that means a blend of jazz and progressive rock.

Weather Report is a great reference here. The band sounds like a younger, European version of that great band. This may explain the popularity of Demo Rumudo last year and this year....

The saxophones are great and ditto for the keyboards. The music is pretty complex with some hints of Yes throughout this album.

The music is also pretty melodic and groovy with a lot of very interesting details.

The band is highly talented and there is no doubts this band is one of the brightest new stars in today's fusion scene.

This is a very good album from a band I hope to hear a lot more from in the future.
