The second album from this band from USA.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, sitar, moog and synths.
I reviewed their 2023 debut album Reflections some days ago and that is a pretty good album. The music were a mix of art-rock and heavy prog. I therefore had some hopes about this, the follow up album.
Of Entropy And Illuminations is clocking in at fifty minutes.
The female vocalist has left the band and the music here is instrumental.
The music is a blend of psych rock and heavy prog. It is quite a change from their debut album. Which makes me wonder... is this the same band ? It probably is.
The sound is slightly retro. There is a lot of fuzz guitars here and some moog.
The music is mid-tempo and the sound is good.
There are some good themes here and some not so good themes. The overall quality is in other words pretty good. I have yet to be won over by this band but I hope they will release some more albums in the coming years.
