The ninth studio album from this artist from Great Britain.
Steven Wilson did the percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards, samples, electronics and vocals here.
He got help from a trio of guests who added their drums, guitars and keyboards.
This is a long awaited album. In particular since Steven hailed it as a return to progressive rock after some electronica focused albums.
Hence the many months of hope & hypes around this album in the scene.
It has to be said that Steven Wilson has delivered a progressive rock album in the form of this forty minuted long album. The hype was justified.
The music is pretty much mid-tempo. It is a blend of Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Porcupine Tree and the first Steven Wilson progressive rock albums.
This album contains two pieces of music, two twenty minutes long suites.
There is a lot of good guitars here and both pieces are really good. This album is a welcome return to the progressive rock genre and I hope he will stick with this genre. I really respect and admire this artist, whatever he choose to do next.
