The 11th album from this band from USA.
The band was a quintet with a line-up of drums, percussion, glockenspiel, bass, guitars, piano, organ, keyboards, synth and vocals.
A number of guests added violin, viola, cello, woodwinds and vocals.
This album is a follow-up to their 2013 album Migrant. The band released some other albums after Migrant, but still wanted to return to this theme ten years later.
Migrant Returned is clocking in at seventy minutes.
The music is a blend of art-rock and indie rock.
The music is slow, mid-tempo and fast. There are some vaudeville rock vibes here too.
The music is sometimes upbeat. It is also melancholic at times.
There is a lot of soul in their music, to say at least. The vocals are really good here.
This album is long and not everything is good here. There are some sub-standard tracks here and some good tracks.
This album is not their finest effort. It is still a pretty good album, well worth checking out.
