Carpani. Alex - The Sanctuary (2010)

The second album from this artist from Italy.

Alex Carpani did the piano, organ, mellotron, moog and vocals here.

Three guests added drums, percussion, bass and guitars.

This fifty minutes long album is the follow up to his 2007 debut album Waterline. A pretty good symphonic prog album.

The music on The Sanctuary is symphonic prog with some ELP and Triumvirat influences. There is a lot of moog and keyboards here. There is also a considerable amount of vocals here.

The music is really melodic. There are some neo-classical music influences here too.

The music is pretty good throughout and the vocals is good. The sound is also very good.

I am not entirely won over by the music here which has some shortcomings when it comes to quality. There are some good moog and melotrons here which elevate this album to a good status. More reviews of his albums will follow in the next couple of weeks.
