The eighth album from this band from Sweden.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.
Two guests added percussion, organ, synths, progamming and vocals.
This is the follow up album to the 2006 album The Great Cold Distance. I have reviewed that and all their other albums in this blog.
Night Is The New Day is clocking in at fifty minutes.
The music is heavy alternative rock.
The band has moved a lot closer to Porcupine Tree this time around than on the previous albums. The last Porcupine Tree albums, that is.
The sound is big and monumental. The music is also elegant and melodic.
The vocals is very good and add a lot of quality to this album.
The result is a good album and one to check out if alternative rock is your thing.
