Flight Recorder - Sirens (2025)

The debut album from this band from The Netherlands.

The band was a duo with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, synths, programming and vocals.

Three guests added drums to some tracks.

This band is a new name to me as they released their debut album only two months ago.

The album clocks in at fifty minutes and the music is neo-prog.

The music is indeed classic neo-prog with some symphonic prog influences. The music is also very much rooted in both the Dutch and the German neo-prog scene and tradition.

The album starts with a quarter of an hour long suite named Future Now Suite. A pretty symphonic suite with a lot of guitars, keyboards and vocals.

The rest of the album has some good vocals and musicianships. There is a lot of good details here too. The sound is very good.

This is indeed a good album and an album neo-prog fans will love. I really hope we will hear a lot more from this band in the future.
