The 36th album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a quintet on this album with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, electronics and vocals.
The band album debuted back in 1970 with their self-titled debut album. The late and much missed Lemmy Kilmister, later i Motorhead, was a member back then and their biggest song was Silver Machine later that decade.
Dave Brock is now the only remaining member in Hawkwind and they have released albums on a regular basis, post millenium.
Last year's Stories From Time And Space, reviewed in # 3 of this blog, was not a good album. It was a tired album from the band on their final legs.... or so I thought.
Their fifty minutes long new album, There Is No Space For Us, is a breathe of fresh air.
The music is a blend of electronica and good old space rock. There is a lot of quirky music here and some of it is touching into a territory previously occupied by Gong.
The quality is good throughout and this is an album deserving this band's name and good reputation. Check it out.
