Posh Toboggan - Crunch Potential (2026)

The debut album from this band from Canada.

The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, synths and vocals.

This album was released through Bandcamp back in April this year and I discovered them through ProgArchives. The album is a name-your-price Bandcamp album.

This album is clocking in at thirty-seven minutes.

Describing the music here is a bit of a head-scratcher. Take garage rock, eclectic prog, add in some avant-garde rock, krautrock, freeform jazz and post-punk. That is pretty close, but close enough, description of the music here.

This album is a riot, in other words.

Too much of a riot in my opinion. Their attitude is to be applauded. The result is some pretty hard and wild music with some good vocals. The music has a dirty garage rock sound.

There are some good pieces here and some rather not so interesting pieces here.

The result is therefore a pretty good album which should appeal to those who likes eclectic esoteric rock.
