AcidYesit - AcidYesit (2015)

The debut album from this band from Colombia.

The band was a quintet with a line-up of drums, bass, guitars, tenor saxophone and alto saxophone.

The mostly unknown band has released two albums through Bandcamp. I will post a review of their second album in some days time.

This album clocks in at thirty-three minutes.

The music can best be described as eclectic prog.

The band has for some reasons not obvious on this album been labeled as a progressive metal and metal band. Well, that is not what we get here. Eclectic jazz with two saxophonists duelling each other.

Add in both some metal chugging and soloing electric guitars and some jazzy half-acoustic guitars too and some weird rhythm patterns.

To call this music wild is a gross understatement.

The music is still well structured. There are methods in the madness here.

This is therefore a good album. A wild but good album. This is an album eclectic prog fans should and must check out.
