The third album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a quintet with a line-up of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, piano, keyboards and vocals.
A string ensemble added woodwinds, strings and other symphonic instruments.
The band returned again after a two years long album break.
This album clocks in at forty minutes.
The music is hard rock.
Ronny James Dio was still the vocalist in Rainbow. He and the band owner, Ritchie Blackmore were the remaining members in a fluctuating band setup.
Ritchie Blackmore were pretty interested in both classical music and Eastern Asia folk music. Both types of music have been implemented in their take on hard rock on this album.
The music is still hard rocking, indeed. But with some subtle hints. There are also some strong blues influences in their music.
The title track is very good. The rest of the songs are decent to good. This album is not as good as the previous album Rising. It is still a semi-classic album in the traditional hard rock scene.
