Alyeus - Forty Days at Sea (2013)

The debut album from this band from Canada.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards, programming and vocals.

This band released two albums between 2013 and 2015. Both of them are up for reviews this spring.

This was supposed to be part I of a trilogy of concept albums. The band gave up the ghost after part II and that was the end of this band. A mostly unknown band and I have not seen many reviews of their albums. Hardly any, to be more precise.

The music on this one hour long album is a blend of heavy metal, progressive metal and post-metal grunge.

The sound is pretty muddy on this Bandcamp album. The vocals is a bit grunge like and not particular good.

The music is pretty poor. The quality of the songs are sub-standard. A couple of decent songs are the only saving grace on this pretty poor album. Hence...
