The seventh album from this band from Iceland.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
A number of guests added strings, timpani, woodwinds and vocals.
The band returned again for a proper band album.
Takk clocks in at sixty-six minutes.
The music here is post-rock.
The music is flowing and pretty ambient. The music is more pieces of music than songs.
The music is still dynamic, majestic and epic.
The vocals are mostly used as an extra instrument.
The result is a very good album indeed and one of the albums that has given the band the status it has.
3.5 points
