The second album from this band from France.
The band was a duo with a lineup of guitars and vocals.
A handful of guests added drums, bass, guitars, harp, carnyx, keyboards, uillean pipes and whistle.
I reviewed their debut album Esyllt some days ago and liked that album a lot.
The fifty minutes long Morrigan is unfortunate their latest album and there has been no sign of life from the band in the last eight-nine years.
The music is celtic rock influenced art rock. There are also some neo-prog influences here.
The music is dominated by some great female vocals and some very good guitars. Both the guitar harmonies and the solos are very good.
There are still a lot of The Corrs and Mostly Autumn influences in their music.
The quality of the music is an improvement on the debut album. Morrigan is indeed a good album and one to check out if early Mostly Autumn floats your boat.
